Hi Everyone! I am over at the Sketch Saturday Challengewith some inspiration using the Marigolds and Morpho Set from Fred, She Said Designs! Be sure to join the challenge for your chance to win $10 gift certificate from Fred, She Said Designs!
This card is a 5 1/2 inch square card. I printed out and colored the images with Studio 71 alcohol markers. I’m trying them out for a bit to see how they compare to Copic and their price is about $1 a marker for the 48 set on Amazon. I think they blend well but I have noticed a couple nibs are showing wear already and I have only been using them about two weeks. They are also not refillable but overall so far I like them. I cut the images out with my Scan N Cut.
I cut three 4 inch squares from card stock and one 5 1/4 inch piece then layered the 4 inch squares onto the 5 1/4 panel according to the sketch. I used some orange and white twine and wrapped it around the panel four times. Then I adhered the marigold image to the panel and bent the butterfly’s’ wings a little bit back and used foam tape just on the body to pop it up. To finish it off I added Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen to the butterfly.
I left the inside blank and thought it was a good to card for many occasions and I could add a sentiment when I found it’s purpose!
