MFT The Birthday Project and One More for the Sketch Challenge!

My first card is The Birthday Project!  Is it wrong of me to say I adore this card?  Did you ever wake up in the middle of the night with a vision or thought?  That’s what happened last night to me.  Naturally, my day was crazy busy so I had no time to bring my vision to life until midnight today!  I used Hero Arts Wood Waves Pattern background stamp, embossed it with clear embossing powder, and then used my distressed oxide ink pads and blended the colors together.  I stamp The Greeting Farm’s Magical Friends unicorn stamp and colored it with alcohol markers, used a balloon from a Wild Rose Studio Bella’s Party set, and the sentiment from MFT Stamp set BB Magical Unicorns.  Cut out some clouds from Joy Craft Dies – Clouds!  Of course, I had to use some Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen for the unicorn hair and clouds and Glossy Accents for the balloon.

Along with the previous card in my night visions, I came up with another one for the MFT Sketch Challenge.  Altenew Floral layering stamps are some of my favorites. This one is the Bold Blossom Stamp. I stamped it with multiple colors from multiple companies Lawn Fawn, YNS, Hero Arts, Distressed Inks, and for the outline stamp, I used Versamark embossing ink and silver embossing powder from WOW.  Finished it with a sentiment from a set I’m not sure what the company or name is.  I love how it turned out!

A goofy thing happened to me today well really a dumb thing I did!  I started stamping the flowers from the Altenew set and don’t ask me what I was thinking but I was stamping it completely wrong.  I took some pictures because I had to laugh at myself.  I just kept thinking I don’t get it these flowers look weird.  Why are they not filled in?  Granted, I haven’t used the set in about a year but still, my mind was not working correctly!  Then I attempted to heat emboss parts of them and forgot to use my anti-static powder so those are a mess.  It’s funny because sitting here now looking at the pictures the half flowers actually look pretty cool!
