I was off work today, yesterday was my birthday and my husband had to work. So we celebrated today! Before that, I decided to make some cards.
My first attempt at an eclipse card gotta say it was a pain and I think the background was too busy, but I did it! I love this stamp, Penny Black Sweet Perfume.
The card was a from a background I had finished previously using the Paper Smooches Cross Stitch die and then I left it simple using the Lawn Fawn thanks die and Waffle Flowers Embroidery Hoops die set. I recently started doing cross stitch on my cards after watching a Jennifer McGuire Ink video. (Love her and all of her ideas)
These next ones are from #ScrappingforLess Flavor of the month kit, it was Novembers kit. Did you ever have a day when everything you touched went to crap? I put a card front on crooked (the 3rd one) had glossy accents almost running down my card. Note to self when using glossy accents let it dry before you prop it up on a stand! Fear not, I saved it, but it was a close one (the 2nd card you can really see it!). However, it was all good in the end, mistakes happen they are handmade after all! I know I said it before but I really do love these kits!
Above is a card from the same Flavor of the month kit Sunny Studio’s stamp Missing Ewe! It’s for my eight-year-old niece.
On a side note, I wanted to mention Creative Memories, I entered a giveaway awhile back and WON a $100 gift certificate! It was awesome, I was so excited but here’s what a purchased with the gift certificate and the cards I made from the card kit! I really adored the kit, I love making cards from scratch but once in a while it’s nice to just be able to sit down follow the directions and make a bunch. The directions were awesome and they even add a bunch of extra embellishments so I can make more later!
