Hi Everyone! Luci here with some design team projects from the May Flavor of the Month card kit! Make sure to grab your subscription, the kits can sell out pretty fast! Click HERE to subscribe.

I had some technical difficulties while I was making the cards for this, as in my camera completely died, I had everything recorded went to plug it into my computer to download all of the videos and pictures and NOTHING. I mean it wouldn’t turn on, I have no idea but in any case, that means no video for this blog hop and I wanted to apologize! So I am very sorry but I have a new camera now and hopefully I won’t have any more hiccups!

The theme is Countryside and boy it is adorable! I made four cards from the sketches and then a BONUS card with one of the A la carte items, the My Favorite Things “Hog Heaven” stamp set. I was super excited to use the set and I wanted to make an interactive card and I found an awesome design from Papercraft Inspirations of a pendulum card, I linked the tutorial below. So let’s get started with some cards!

For sketch 1 the items are from collection 1. I used the “Country Kitchen” paper from Carta Bella and one of the stamps from the Brutus Monroe “Farm Emblems” stamp set and I also used the Technique Junkie “Faith, Family, Farming, Friends stamp, when I stamped the image I made sure I only had the image and friends inked and then on the inside I inked the rest of the words. I colored the image with alcohol markers and used a little bit of “broken china” distress oxide for the sky. Lastly, I added a few Kennedy Grace sequins from the collection.

With sketch 2 I used collection 2 the adorable Sunny Studio “Miss Moo” stamp set, I stamped the cow and a bunch of the flowers and colored them with alcohol markers. The papers are from Doodlebug “Down on the Farm” and “Chit Chat” from the same collection. I also used some of the burlaps that came with the Banana Split level kit and the sequins from collection 2.

Sketch 3 I used the American Craft “Farmhouse” papers and the “farm Friends” stickers from collection 4. I used a die I have to make the rectangles on one of the papers, then I die cut one of the pictures from the paper collection that looked like a note card to stamp the sentiment from the Avery Elle “Barnyard” stamp set. I set the sticker images inside of the rectangles added some sequins from the collection and die cut a star from the paper for the center and popped it up with some foam tape. The stickers have glitter on them so I didn’t need to add any to the card!

For sketch 4 I used collection three with the adorable Scrapping for Less “Piggy Picnic” stamp set and the MFT tiny checks papers. For the center image, I stamped on a white piece of cardstock the picnic basket, sun, and blanket, then I masked those images and used distress oxides inks “lucky clover ” and “broken china” to blend a background with the sky and grass. I colored the images with alcohol markers. I stamped the two piggys and colored them with alcohol markers and popped them up with some foam tape along with the sentiment. Finally, I added two clouds from dies I have that I trimmed down and added some of those beautiful Kennedy Grace sequins!

***********BONUS CARD***********

For my bonus card, I used the A LA CARTE stamp set “Hog Heaven” from MFT stamps you can pick up HERE at the bottom of the page. This set is adorable and I wanted to do something a little different so here it is!

I think it turned out super cute! There is a pendulum under the card that makes the pig with wings rock back and forth.

This card I used paper from Doodlebug “Down on the Farm” for the bottom half of the card, a background I made with heat embossing a stamped image and adding distress oxides for color and a scrap piece of yellow cardstock from my stash. I stamped all of the pig images from the set, a bunch of the bows, flowers, flower pots, and the fence. Then I colored all of them with alcohol markers and pieced it together. I added a piece of clear plastic to the sentiment, that I die cut with a word balloon die and stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. There is a quick video at the bottom of it in motion and then the link for the tutorial!
